Adelaide Metro welcomes families to enjoy free travel across all buses, trains, and trams on Christmas Pageant day, Saturday, November 8, from 6am to 2pm. This initiative helps thousands of South Australians attend the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant with ease.
The Christmas Pageant is the largest public street parade in the southern hemisphere, attracting over 300,000 spectators last year. To manage the large crowds, Adelaide Metro will run extra buses and trains throughout the morning. Additional substitute buses will service the Glenelg tram corridor due to ongoing upgrade works.
“Adelaide Metro is so pleased to provide free public transport to help children and families get to the city for the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant,” said Adelaide Metro spokesperson Michelle Spagnoletti.
She added, “We’ll have additional services running on the day, so hop on board and leave the car at home.”
To ensure safety during the event, several road closures and temporary bus stop changes will be in place across the Central Business District (CBD).
This free transport offer encourages families to enjoy the festive event without worrying about parking or traffic.
Adelaide Metro facilitates free and convenient travel for families attending the city’s major Christmas Pageant, enhancing the festive experience with extra services and safety measures.
