Elder Gérald Caussé has been appointed as the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is originally from Bordeaux, France, and is 62 years old.
Before his recent calling, Elder Caussé served eleven years as the Presiding Bishop of the Church. His prior experience also includes serving as a General Authority in Germany and later in the United States from 2008 to 2012.
He and his wife, Valérie, have been married for 30 years and have five children together.
